As a bank, Société Générale is fully aware of its responsibility to wider society. Corporate patronage and sponsorship initiatives illustrate its daily commitment to promoting sport, music and the arts.
Sport
In sports, the company partners the French Golf Federation and has also been a sponsor of the the French Handisport Federation since January 2003. A symbolic date, since 2003 was declared ?European year of disabled people'.
Société Générale has been actively supporting rugby for twenty years. A rugby news website has thus been created, entitled 'For the love of rugby' www.paramourdurugby.com, for the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
Support for the community
Société Générale also supports numerous charitable projects, particularly Talents et Partage, or Sharing our talents, an association founded by employees in 1994.
Music and contemporary art
