The Société Général group has a policy of active long-term support, its activities divided into traditional sponsorship and solidarity initiatives which often take place at local level.
Sports patronage
In sports, the company partners the French Golf Federation and has also been a sponsor of the the French Handisport Federation since January 2003. A symbolic date, since 2003 was declared ?European year of disabled people'.
However, rugby is still the Société Générale's primary sponsorship focus; it depends on shared values: team spirit, conviviality, commitment and respect.
Commitment to solidarity
Through its Solidarity Foundation, Société Générale finances assistance for disabled and disadvantaged individuals, mainly focusing on local initiatives particularly in France.
A patron of the arts and classical music
Finally, the Group has a tradition of financial support for classical music dating back to 1987. It also has a significant collection of modern art.
