Retail networks and financial services

In France, the Group's distribution activity is ensured by its two bank networks: Crédit du Nord and Société Générale. The international reach of the retail banking division extends to operations in 26 countries.

A global player in the financial services market, Société Générale has seen the rapid international development of its banking activities. It currently offers specialist financial services in more than thirty countries.

Asset management and investor services

The investment management and services division regroups Société Générale Asset Management, SG Private Banking, Société Générale Securities Services and Boursorama. These subsidiaries mobilise 8,900 employees worldwide.

Amongst the leaders in the sector, the Group is ranked no. 4 for asset management in the euro zone with 411 billion euros of assets under management and no.3 in Europe for custodian operations with 2,155 billion euros at the end of September 2006.

Corporate and investment banking

Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, the Société Générale group's corporate finance and investment division, proposes financial solutions to companies, investors and financial institutions.

Given the strategy of value creation, it focuses on the capital markets, euro-denominated derivative products and structured financing.
