Who can use the service? The archive service is
open to researchers in all fields on justification of their
research. The archives can only be consulted on the premises.
Document release dates : Specific blackout periods (private
establishments). The release dates for documents vary according to
the nature and subject of the archives. The period ranges from 60
to 150 years (for files of a medical nature), except for documents
that are public by nature, which can be consulted without
restrictions or delays. In some cases, it is possible to request a
derogation for certain documents that are less than 60 years old,
but at least 30 years. Only documents that have been sorted or
examined by our services in advance can be made public. Inventories
are available in the reading room. A permanently enriched database
is currently being created. It is not open to the public. Limited
photocopying is possible depending on the subject and nature of the
document, excluding bound works. Photocopies can be made free of
charge (within reasonable limits) on a personal basis and cannot be
passed on to a third party. Reproduction rights are not
authorised.
