Founded in May 1987 from the belief that one of the greatest
pleasures of music is to share it with others, the
Mécénat Musical Société Générale
focuses on encouraging talented young musicians, protecting our
musical heritage and widening our knowledge of and promoting
greater involvement in chamber music.

Created in May 1987, in 1991 the Société
Générale Music Foundation became the Mécénat
Musical Société Générale (MMSG). The foundation
has four objectives:
- to encourage talented young musicians,
- to protect our musical heritage,
- to widen our knowledge of music,
- to promote greater involvement in music.
By supporting talented artists when it comes to making original projects and ambitious ideas happen, MMSG's main goal is to bring men and women together around a common ideal: a passion for music.
