>> Nouvelle organisation de notre Direction Générale
As Frédéric Oudéa said, “as of the first of January, our Group has, for the five years to come, both the Management team and the financial resources, after the capital increase, to enable it to push ahead with its transformation.” Indeed, he is now aided by three Deputy chief executive officers who will each take charge of the supervision of one of the following portfolios of businesses:

- the French retail banking activities, encompassing the Société Générale and Crédit du Nord networks as well as the Internet banking subsidiary Boursorama, under the supervision of Jean-François Sammarcelli ;

>> Société Générale and Dexia complete the Crédit du Nord transaction

Société Générale now controls 100% of Crédit du Nord.

For Société Générale, this transaction will contribute to strengthen its positioning in retail banking in France, a profitable market which has demonstrated its resilience. This deal will also allow Société Générale to optimize the efficiency of its domestic network, notably through the pooling of resources, while maintaining a multi-branding strategy. As previously indicated, the deal is financed by a part of the proceeds coming from the recent capital increase of EUR 4.8 billion.
