Management
Frédéric Oudéa has been Chairman and CEO since May 24 2009. He is assisted by two Co-CEOs, Didier Alix and Séverin Cabannes. The Executive Committee ensures the strategic management of the Group, under the authority of the Chairman and CEO.
Our history
Société Générale dates back to 4 May 1864, date of the authorisation decree signed by Napoleon III. The bank's ambitions were reflected in its original articles of association, when it took the form - still very unusual at the time - of a limited company.
